Bio

Tom was awarded the Dave Cooper Memorial Prize for Saxophone, the George Murphey Trophy for Saxophone and the University Armes Prize by Leeds College of Music and graduated with a first class honours degree. Whilst studying for an MMus at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music, Tom received tuition from Iain Ballamy, Tim Garland, Martin Speake, Stan Sulzmann, Andy Panayi, Pete Churchill, Gerard Presencer and Barak Schmool and graduated with Distinction.

Notable appearances include BBC Radio 1 Live Lounge, BBC Maidia Vale, BBC Radio’s Jazz On 3, Radio X, The Voice, The X Factor,   Portugal The. Man European Tour '18, SXSW, Iceland Airwaves, The Great Escape, Reading & Leeds Festival, Latitude Festival and many more. Tom is currently performing in the UK with Bombay Bicycle Club on their 2020 tour.

As a music commentator, Tom has contributed to The Leeds Guide, Northern Exposure, The Yorkshire Evening Post and London Jazz and The Vortex online blogs.
